Salary: Up to £33,813 depending on experience 

 

About the role

 

We’re looking for a Visiting Moderator / Quality Assurer with strong expertise in Early Years, Education, and internal assessment to join our T Level Moderator team. This permanent role focuses on supporting the T Level Technical Qualification in Education and Early Years (Level 3) delivered by NCFE and is ideal for Assessors and Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) looking to progress to external quality assurance.

 

As a Moderator, you’ll play a key part in ensuring assessment quality, consistency, and compliance across providers delivering Early Years and Education programmes.

 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Visiting providers to observe students and assessors to carry out moderation in line with our quality assurance policies.
  • Completing clear, accurate, and timely reports (working to SLAs).
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to providers, helping them understand assessment requirements.
  • Identifying risks, areas of non-compliance, and development needs, producing action plans to drive improvement.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Moderation team to embed changes and maintain high standards.
  • Upholding regulatory and compliance requirements for Early Years and Education qualifications.

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Subject expertise in Early Years / Education qualified to Level 3 or above.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering Early Years, Supporting Teaching & Learning, or Education qualifications.
  • Up-to-date CPD demonstrating occupational competence in Early Years and/or Assisting Teaching.
  • Experience of assessment and internal quality assurance (IQA).
  • Strong report-writing, communication, and organisational skills.
