Location: Hybrid (Head Office: Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne)

This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office when required

Hours per week: 37

Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience

 

About the role

 

We’re looking for a Head of People Transformation to join our People team. In this leadership role, you’ll drive NCFE’s people transformation strategy, helping the organisation achieve its goals and adapt to change. You’ll lead organisational design and development to build resilience and strengthen current and future capabilities.

 

How you'll make an impact:

  • Lead organisational change to ensure structures, operating models, and ways of working are efficient, resilient, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Drive organisational development, including workforce planning, behavioural change, learning culture, and performance management to build long-term capability.
  • Oversee learning and development initiatives to grow current and future skills, ensuring strong governance and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Partner with senior leaders to co-create workforce solutions that improve performance and prepare for future challenges.
  • Embed leadership development and data-driven practices to strengthen leadership capability, governance, and strategic decision-making.

We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Expertise in organisational design, development, and large-scale people transformation, with a strong track record of delivering complex change from concept to impact.
  • Ability to turn vision and strategy into practical OD solutions, driving cultural and behavioural shifts and embedding new ways of working.
  • Proven leadership skills, including building and inspiring high-performing, adaptable teams and influencing senior stakeholders through storytelling and facilitation.
  • Strong strategic and operational capability, balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution, risk management, and governance design.
  • Experience in leading through ambiguity, pace, and change while ensuring compliance and mitigating regulatory and operational risks.
