Overview

Flexible Worker Contract 

Location: Remote (Travel within region required) 

 

Applications from all areas will be considered, however, we have particular needs in the South-West, Midlands and London areas.

 

About the role

 

We're excited to be looking for Moderators to join our External Quality Assurance team on a flexible worker contract for the following qualification.

 

T Level Technical Qualification in Education and Early Years

 

The purpose of moderation is to check that centres are correctly and consistently assessing student work and that the materials submitted for moderation meet the required standard.

 

As a Moderator, you will be expected to complete moderation activities, including completing reports within specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to a high standard during our moderation window which begins on 2 February 2026 and ends on 31 July 2026.

 

You'll also be required to attend a mandatory standardisation event for your specialism:


Early Years Educator: Wednesday 10 December 2025

Assisting Teaching: Monday 15 December 2025 

 

How you'll make an impact : 

  • Demonstrating CPD across your area of expertise
  • Moderating centre marking and document outcomes in line with quality assurance guidelines, including both face to face and remote sampling
  • Planning moderation activities for providers allocated in line with NCFE requirements and the moderation sampling strategy, ensuring a proactive approach is taken
  • Conducting timely moderation activities to monitor and review performance against Awarding Organisation (AO) and regulatory requirements to ensure quality and consistency

We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • A minimum of a level 3 qualification in the subject area advertised 
  • Evidence of working within the education and early years sector 
  • Relevant teaching and/or assessing experience
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Self-motivation and organisational skills
  • A driving licence and the flexibility to travel

Interview Details:

 

If successful in your application, we will ask you to complete a short activity based on the T Level Technical Qualification in Education and Early Years (603/5829/4) and we’ll invite you to attend our talent discovery sessions will take place on 28 October 9:30 / 29 October 17:00

 

The talent discovery session will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Understand more about the role
  • Engage with key staff and other applicants
  • Gain further insight into the qualification and assessment methods

It will also allow us to evaluate your suitability for the role

 

If successful in this post you will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
