Contract: Permanent 

Location: Hybrid (Head Office: Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne)

This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office once a month

Hours per week: 37

Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience 

 

About the role

 

We’re excited to be looking for Business Intelligence Developers to join our Business Intelligence team.

 

In this role, you’ll develop and deliver high quality Power BI solutions that drive data-informed decisions across the organisation.

 

Our Business Intelligence team is responsible for designing and delivering internal reporting that supports continuous performance improvement. We focus on enabling self-service insight, scalable data models, and modern analytics using Microsoft technologies

 

The role will give you exposure to:

  • Developing engaging reports, dashboards, and KPIs using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into meaningful reporting solutions
  • Supporting a modern BI architecture, including pipelines, dataflows, and lakehouses
  • Shaping semantic models and defining metrics to support enterprise-wide consistency
  • Contributing to cross functional projects that improve insight, efficiency and outcomes.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Designing and building reporting solutions in Power BI that deliver timely and actionable insights
  • Developing and maintaining datasets and semantic models that support self-service analytics
  • Supporting governance of Microsoft Fabric structures to enable scalable reporting
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in Power BI, providing training and documentation to users
  • Assisting in migrating legacy reports into modern reporting platforms to improve usability and accessibility.

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Hands-on experience building reporting solutions in Power BI
  • Strong skills in SQL, DAX, and dimensional data modelling
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and report performance tuning
  • Confidence working with stakeholders to shape reporting requirements
  • Great attention to detail, communication skills, and a passion for BI best practices
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to support self-service BI adoption
