Location: Hybrid (Head Office: Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne)

This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office 2 days per week this may change depending on business need.

Hours per week: 37

Salary: Up to £48,672 , depending on experience

 

About the role

 

We’re excited to be looking for an Assessment Quality Manager to join our Assessment Solutions team.

 

In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the quality of NCFE assessments across our expanding range of qualifications. You’ll be responsible for verifying assessments are fit for purpose while supporting training and development within the Assessment Solutions directorate.

 

This role will allow you to use and grow your expertise in assessment principles to support the production of our intricate and engaging range of qualifications. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the future of NCFE qualifications.

 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Overseeing the management and facilitation of Assessment Release Panels to ensure the validity, reliability and suitability of all assessment materials
  • Providing expert support and guidance to Assessment Solutions Officers, Lead Assessment Solutions Officers and Assessment Solutions Managers to ensure robust understanding of assessment requirements and effective implementation throughout the production cycle
  • Accountability for producing high-quality reporting and analysis of Assessment Release Panel findings to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identifying trends, risks and issues in assessment outputs and work collaboratively across teams to embed improvement actions
  • Developing and maintaining quality assurance frameworks, guidance and templates to support consistency and compliance with assessment production.

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Proven experience of working in an assessment role and/or relevant education or quality assurance context
  • Expertise in qualification, assessment and curriculum design principles
  • Experience in leading or facilitating quality assurance activities, panels or boards
  • Understanding of Ofqual’s General Conditions of Recognition
  • Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and issues within an education context
  • Experience of interpreting and applying regulatory conditions and guidance
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across a range of roles
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
