Contract: 6 months Fixed-term

Location: Hybrid / Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne 

This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office once a week

Hours per week: 37 (open to part time participants)

Salary: Up to £23.088, depending on experience

 

About the role

 

We’re excited to be looking for an administrator to join our Innovation team to support the smooth running of business as usual from an administrative perspective by carrying our clerical and administrative tasks and providing support to colleagues delivering our innovation and diversification projects. You'll work across the Research and Innovation Directorate but will focus primarily on supporting the Innovation and Investments team.

 

The Research and Innovation Directorate provides evidence-based insights and research services to inform decision-making, business improvement, and to evaluate NCFE’s overall impact. We also play a key role in preparing NCFE for the future, identifying and tracking emerging trends and technologies while maximising our reach and impact through thought leadership and social investment.

 

As an administrator, you’ll learn more about the education sector, and support delivery of our exciting social investment and innovation work at NCFE. This includes collaborating with other leading education charities such as UFI VocTech Trust and helping us to identify and introduce the latest innovations in technology for teaching, learning and assessment. 

 

How you’ll make an impact: 

  • Performing effective administration support to the Innovation and Investments team
  • Coordinating team activities including scheduling meetings, coordinating events
  • Supporting with basic online research tasks (e.g. to provide background on a potential client or project)
  • Carrying out any other tasks as appropriate to support the Innovation and Investments team

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Experience of working in a busy administrative role co-ordinating multiple tasks, events and diaries
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written including excellent grammar and spelling
  • Experience in the use of Office applications and software such as Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and maintain a high standard of accuracy
