Location: Hybrid (Head Office: Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne) 

This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office once a quarter

Hours per week: 37

About the role

 

We’re excited to be looking for Data Engineers to join our Software Delivery team to ensure our data is well managed, accessible, and reliable.

 

You’ll be a key member of an agile team of Data Engineers ensuring that our hundreds of learners get the right results at the right time.

 

We’re looking for two experienced and motivated Data Engineers who can support with team developing optimal software solutions in a timely manner. As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role, collaborating with Business Analysts, the Product Owner, and internal stakeholders ensuring we’re delivering the right solution, whilst meeting our regulatory deadlines.

 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Developing and testing data solutions (integrations, pipelines, and data warehouses) to meet project requirements using internal and external data sources
  • Working with Data Governance team and insight leaders to ensure data is well governed and kept up to date and accurate
  • Responsibility for the resolution of incidents, service requests and change requests within the specified SLA
  • Contributing to the maintenance of legacy data systems, ensuring database security is implemented, performance managed, and database backup procedures are adhered to

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Strong Microsoft SQL knowledge and experience
  • Strong data modelling experience
  • Experience of database systems administration
  • Experience of SSIS and SSRS
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse
