Contract: Permanent 

Location: Head Office: Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne

Hours per week: 30 (4 days per week)

Salary: Up to £19,469 (FTE £24,011) depending on experience

 

About the role

 

We’re excited to be looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team.

 

In this role, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our colleagues, contractors, and visitors. You'll ensure compliance with all current health and safety regulations while supporting the smooth operation and maintenance of our head office. As part of the facilities team, you'll also contribute to driving our environmental policy, including a local wildlife meadow. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in both safety and sustainability within our organisation.

 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Carrying out minor/basic plumbing and electrical repairs
  • Handling basic carpentry work and carpet repairs
  • Assisting with building upkeep, including painting and decorating as needed
  • Providing support to the wider facilities team
  • Overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the office exterior
  • Maintaining a vibrant and caring environment to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of all colleagues

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar facilities or maintenance role
  • Proficient in plumbing and basic electrical systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to take initiative
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
