Contract: Permanent

Location: Home based with regular travel across the UK. Occasional international travel will be required.

Hours per week: 39

Salary: Up to £40,000 (plus £4,800 car allowance) depending on experience

 

About the role

 

We're excited to be looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Active IQ team, you’ll be charismatic and results-driven to spearhead growth within the education sector.

 

This pivotal role involves identifying new opportunities, fostering client relationships, and surpassing sales targets in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your primary focus will be cultivating and building a network of relationships to attract and retain new customers, researching new opportunities, and driving business grown focused projects which will grow Active IQs reach and impact with new and existing customers. You’ll use a customer centric approach, ensuring the smooth adoption and delivery of a wide array of products, spanning Active IQs comprehensive qualification and service offerings.

 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Researching and identifying new business opportunities, understanding the needs of a range of customers, being able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet those needs.
  • Strategically thinking, being able to see the bigger picture, setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
  • Providing advice and guidance to customers to solutionise and assist in planning needs, positioning relevant solutions to new and existing customers.
  • Accessing, managing and monitoring data in relation to their accounts, and where appropriate the wider network.
  • Developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships to expedite accurate and timely issue solutions for the client.
  • Promoting advancement of learning and progression for learners in all that we do, championing change and continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to the devising and delivery of a variety of customer and stakeholder-based events including preparing and delivering presentations, facilitating workshops and networking at events across the Active IQ network.

  • Outstanding business development and account management skills and experience of achieving sales targets.
  • Tenacious and methodical approach to problem solving and complex solutionising.
  • Experience in strategy development and continuous improvement in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
