Flexible Worker Contract 

Location: Remote

 

About the role

We're excited to be looking for Moderators to join our External Quality Assurance team on a flexible worker contract for the following qualification:

  • Level 1/2 Technical Award in Engineering

The purpose of moderation is to check that centres are correctly and consistently assessing student work and that the materials submitted for moderation meet the required standard. 

 

As a Moderator, you'll be expected to complete moderation activities, completing reports within specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to a high standard during our moderation window which begins on 22 May 2024 and ends on 31 July 2024.

 

How you'll make an impact:

  • Attending team and internal standardisation meetings as required, taking ownership of collecting evidence as instructed by the Chief Moderator, demonstrating CPD across your area of expertise
  • Moderating centre marking and document outcomes in line with quality assurance guidelines
  • Planning moderation activities for providers allocated in line with NCFE requirements and the moderation sampling strategy ensuring a proactive approach is taken.
  • Conducting timely moderation activities to monitor and review performance against Awarding Organisation (AO) and regulatory requirements to ensure quality and consistency

We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Relevant subject expert, qualified to at least Level 3
  • Evidence of at least 3 years of working in the sector
  • Relevant teaching and/ or assessing experience
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Self-motivated and good organisational skills
