About the opportunity
Reporting to the Lead Assessment Delivery Officer, the Assessment Delivery Officer is responsible for the delivery of a bank of external assessments to ensure validity and reliability for NCFE and associated brand’s qualifications.
The role involves recruiting, training and performance management of a bank of external contractor Examiners, who work in subject or qualification specific teams and are supported by a ‘Chief Examiner’ for each subject area.
The post holder will ensure marking is carried out in line with agreed systems, procedures and timescales. They’ll respond to customer queries, complaints and appeals and will support colleagues in operational teams to provide advice and support for customer queries and qualification development.
A key priority is support for customers to ensure quality delivery and management of NCFE assessments, this may be through Centre Monitoring visits, Centre Support visits, training or the creation of resources, the post holder will also carry out fact find investigations where required.
The focus of this role will be on our Functional Skills qualifications and it would be desirable, but not essential, for you to have experience of this suite of qualifications. Functional Skills English and Maths are going through a significant period of reform and the successful applicant will be required to support the operational delivery processes for the implementation of the new qualifications.
About our team
The Quality Assurance team is responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of the assessment processes of all NCFE and CACHE qualifications, both in-house and at our approved centres.
The team works closely with the Product Development team to agree the assessment design for new qualification development and to operationalise qualifications. This involves identifying the most appropriate assessment method for qualifications that will meet our customers’ needs. The team also works closely with the Customer Support team to assist them in dealing with customer queries about the approval and assessment of our qualifications.
