Job description


NCFE, one of the UK’s fastest growing, most innovative qualification awarding organisations, is looking for a Head of Quality Assurance.


A bit about the job…

The Head of Quality Assurance is responsible for maintaining the integrity of NCFE qualifications. This involves managing several teams to ensure that qualifications are developed with appropriate assessments, delivered correctly at authorised NCFE centres and certificates are distributed accordingly.


You will report to the Director of Quality and Product, and work closely with other operational Heads of Department, specifically including the Head of Product Development.


A bit about you…

You will lead and organise the external quality assurance, assessment design, assessment delivery, processing, support projects and curriculum teams to meet business objectives, coaching and developing the team managers to achieve and exceed performance levels.

With experience of leading managers and managing significant departmental budgets, you will be required to oversee progress on multiple areas of work and projects, ensuring that the team is working well with both internal and external stakeholders and customers.

Skills and experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject (Business, Education, Quality or Assessment)
  • Management qualification (level 5) or significant middle/senior management experience
  • Assessment or Quality Assurance qualification (level 4) or equivalent experience
  • Risk Assessment
  • Project Management
  • Budget Management (£500k+)
